All bags we do have a story behind it; Today we want to tell the story of Ixaya bag, but first tell you that the word is nahualth Ixaya origin and means opening your eyes.
This bag was an initiative Pa’lante Ixaya team. This is an interdisciplinary team dedicated to personal development processes. In the words of Marta Salvany, Pa’lante Ixaya member of the team, “open your eyes is what we do as a team, opening our eyes to our lives and our environment …. accompany other people who want to open their eyes own life…”.
In 2010 Pa’lante Ixaya decided to prepare a gift made by women artisans to give recognition to all school counselors, school principals and mothers who carried out a process of personal development during an intensive year.
They wanted to work with a group of Nicaraguan women who work out a useful and practical bag for these women who had fought for “open their eyes” for a year. They searched us and designed the bag Ixaya
After this process, we decided to further develop this model, as well as being very practical, it is a strong bag and takes a very nice mix of fabric and Mallard.
Thank you very much Pa’lante Ixaya team for this nice gift.
